Leicester City move ever closer to miraculous title win

The suspension of talismanic striker Jamie Vardy had no effect whatsoever on Leicester City, with replacement Leonardo Ulloa's brace helping the league leaders thrash Swansea City 4-0 at the King Power Stadium.

Now, remarkably, the Foxes find themselves eight points clear of Tottenham Hotspur with three games remaining, although Spurs have a game in hand as they entertain West Bromwich Albion on Monday evening.

Leicester got the early lead they will have been craving desperately after an uncharacteristic clanger from Swansea skipper Ashley Williams.

The 31-year-old centre-back hit a lazy pass into the point of Riyad Mahrez's elbow,NFL Jerseys Sale but referee Mark Clattenburg played on and the Algerian winger was calmness personified as he stroked the ball into the back of the net from 15 yards out.

Ulloa then doubled the Foxes' lead on the half-hour mark. Danny Drinkwater registered his sixth assist of the season - his first to a player other than the suspended Vardy - by whipping in a dangerous set-piece into a packed penalty area, and the Argentine beat the unfortunate Williams to the ball to head into the corner.

If there was any doubt about the result going into the second period, it was extinguished in the 60th minute when Jeffrey Schlupp's scrappy effort was poked in from virtually on the goal line by Ulloa.NFL Jerseys Wholesale Substitute Marc Albrighton then put the icing on the cake with a late strike.

Understandably there was a thunderous atmosphere created by the Leicester fans, and after this result perhaps for the first time their belief that they can win the league is genuine.

All eyes will now be on Tottenham and their response to such a convincing Leicester victory. Were they to drop points against West Brom, Leicester could wrap up a magnificent Premier League title with a win against Manchester United at Old Trafford on May 1.
