I have loved photography most of my entire life. Sometimes I created money, sometimes Some. I put thousands of hours into a Images by Carl Kruse on National Geographic website that has not made me a dime, but still it consumes me, often filling the every waking considered. So the question arises, why do I put in so much time on something that has not made me rich, or well-known, or even supported my family?
The answer to that query, like most, is probably various for each of us. But if you are at a point, or even ever get to a point where you find yourself inquiring "why bother"? Perhaps this list will assist spark an answer for you.
1 . Photography can easily relieve stress. It gives you the excuse to be outside, to hike, to explore, and to fill your own lungs with very good, clean fresh air. As you concentrate on other things, your own problems just seem to fade away.
2 . Digital photography expands the creativeness. It can be your muse, your inspiration, a good starting point for other creative endeavors. It will help you to see the globe and people in a whole new way.
3. Pictures can be a spiritual experience. The rush of rising a mountain or the magic of capturing baby's first laugh helps put the planet in perspective. Pressing the hearts of others is great... but touching your own, places you on the path to eternal enlightenment.
4. Photography is a means of communication. Yet more than that, this can be a means of acquiring information. Documentation, entertainment, as well as revelation all come from being able to "See" provided of view.

10. Photography will be my gift coming from God. It is the responsibility to use the particular gifts I have been provided. It's what I perform, it's who Me. Like most gifts coming from God, its objective is to be shared with the planet. How can I share what I don't understand? How can I help to make my talents develop without actively looking for more knowledge as well as better understanding?
